Care Groups


Becoming a part of a small group is an important part of feeling connected with others and growing in your relationship with Jesus. The following is a list of small groups which will begin meeting together during the month of September. We anticipate more small groups forming as the year progresses. Information will be released with each new group that begins.

The following is a list of the current Care Groups at Glamorgan Church:

Hosts: Grant and Lori U
Note: Starting November 16th at 5:57 PM and meeting every second Sunday.
For ages Grade 12 Graduated to Mid 20's, Grant and Lori U will be hosting an opportunity to come together for discussion, debate and curiosity about faith. For more information please contact the church office @ 403-242-1921

Facilitator: Grant U
Families meet at this group every week in Mackenzie Lake on Monday nights. They spend time developing intimacy through fellowship and sharing, worship, study, and prayer. Study could include video series, bible study, topical discussions or books.

Contact person: Elvera R
Meeting bi-weekly on Monday evenings, this group meets at various locations throughout the city, north, east, west and south. Therefore, they refer to themselves as the Good N.E.W.S. Group. Made up of people in “mid-life,” this group meets to discuss Biblical topics, worship, pray and support one another.

Facilitator: Gayle R
This group will be meeting in Southwest Calgary, every Wednesday. It is a small group of 40-somethings, married and single. They do a combination of study, prayer, and fellowship, and occasionally have socials.

Hosts: Art & Gladys R
This group meets every Wednesday evening in the Southeast quadrant of the city. They are doing a study from the book of Hebrews as it is written in The Message.

Facilitator: Ryan S
A family friendly group where the adults meet “upstairs” while the children are in the playroom on a lower level. This group will be working through a video series (topic to be determined), meeting every other Thursday evening. Please note that there is no specific child care.

Every Thursday afternoon, this group meets to enjoy coffee and a snack and to study the Bible. They will be studying the parables of Jesus this year. They meet in the Glamorgan neighbourhood.

This is a small group of moms who meet together monthly to prepare meals for their families. While cooking together, they visit and share life together, encouraging and sharing Christ's love with one another.

Facilitator: Pastor Mark Kowalko
Prayer is the primary purpose of this group. It meets in the Southeast quadrant of the city on Sunday evenings.

On the third Sunday of each month, this group meets after the 11:00 service for a potluck lunch in the Church basement. They eat together, and then while the children play, the adults visit with one another, and have a time of prayer.
