Care GroupsCARE Groups are a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and to encourage and build one another up in the faith. Below is a brief description of the groups that will be forming this fall. The exact schedule and topic are yet to be determined. Lake Bonavista Starting in October, there will be a bi-weekly Bible study hosted and led by Dorothy and Harvey F. CARE Groups for teenage guys and for teenage girls Beginning in October there will be Care Groups for teenage guys and for teenage girls. Contact Pastor Rachel Jesse (rachel@glamorganchurch.ca) for further information. Young adults who have graduated from high school Stay tuned for a group that will be forming soon. Karen D and Lori U are putting the final arrangements in place and will announce the details as soon as they are available. Glamorgan A group led by Gayle R will be meeting bi-weekly on a weekday evening to sing, pray together and discuss Bill Hybel’s Series “Just Walk Across the Room”. Glenbrook A new group is forming in the Glenbrook neighbourhood. Meeting bi-weekly on a weekday evening, Jean D will lead this group using a format that includes video, discussion and sharing of personal experiences. Philip Yancey’s “What’s So Amazing About Grace?” will be the material studied. Deer Ridge Art and Gladys R are hosting a group which meets every Wednesday evening in Deer Ridge. They are using a video curriculum entitled, “The Me I Want To Be: Becoming God's Best Version Of You” by John Ortberg. Glamorgan – Thursday afternoons Every Thursday afternoon, Marg M leads a group in Bible study (they are diving into the book of Hebrews this fall), prayer and encouragement. Various Homes – Saturday morning Maureen M is the leader of a group which meets once a month on a Saturday morning for breakfast, discussions and prayer. This year, they are looking at a book entitled, "Finding an Unseen God" by Alicia Britt Chole. This group takes turns meeting at the homes of those who attend. |
